36 week appt 9/1/15

I had my 36 week appt yesterday and I asked my midwife to check me to see if I was dilated at all since I've been having lots of Braxton hicks. She said I was at 1 1/2cm dilated and it hurt when she checked me! It's usually not the most comfortable feeling but for some reason she said she went up underneath the sac and cervix to get a good idea of if I was thinning or not. Which I wasn't thinning out or anything. So that's my update. I also weighed 160lbs which means I lost 2lbs since last week. I was right in thinking that I was retaining a lot of water! We will see where I will be next week. Probably at 170 haha. 

I was expecting to be really crampy after she checked me yesterday but I wasn't really. I've been a little. But nothing like I thought. I did lose my mucus plug this morning around 9:00am. And she checked me at about 9:30am yesterday morning. All that losing the mucus plug means is that your cervix is starting to dilate or thin, or that the doctor dislodged it while doing the exam she did yesterday and that labor should start within the next 2-3 weeks. So hopefully she will be here by my 39th weeks like Violet was. I do not want to go all the way to 40 weeks. 38 weeks would be nice too but I'm not counting on it! She just started feeling really heavy in this last week. I think she has had a growth spurt and probably weighs about 6 1/2lbs. I have another appt a week from Friday with an actual ob and not my midwife. So we will see if I'm progressing. I can't believe we are here at the end of all this! Can't wait to meet baby girl.
